Foodily, a food-based app telling you recipe ideas, was today the first company to break through into mass popularity on the latest craze – Pintrest, an image-centered social media network themed around photography and the arts.

Foodily was the first to jump onto the bandwagon. Taking advantage of free advertising through pictures, popularity quickly rose and a fan base grew almost instantaneously. As the first to take use of this, Pintrest is now flooded with Foodily themed pictures and tasty looking meals.

The future? Hundreds and hundreds of advertisements flooding the website itself. Who knows, though – advert blockers may be put into place to prevent upload surges at certain hours. Certain membership statuses could allow some viewers to skip past certain companies campaigns.
