Further ident ideas

As a finishing part to this project, I decided to email the horror channel to show them my work. On research I found that the horror channel was a part of a larger industry known as 'CBS Studios International', so I personally messaged them instead. I'd prefer to email a set person so I know exactly where my message was going to, but unfortunately the website didn't offer this option; a standard form along with a comment box was the only available way to get in contact with then. I did this to show initiative - hearing opinions and views from the top of the industry would boost my knowledge of what's on the professional level in the area of idents and horror production.

Although this was my first major project, I felt that I could write to them with clear intention, as I felt that the ident produced was of good standard. I had considered sending the ident link on YouTube to other places, too - a few other production companies, a few art-house communities such as on Reddit - some threads specialize in surrealism and film. This was the layout of the website - as mentioned before, there was no direct way of contacting an individual on the website, so I had to make do with the standard issue feedback form.

This was the message I sent, copied and pasted.

Hello, I'm George Lovstrom.

I recently made an ident for the Horror Channel as part of a media production course in my school, Esher College. This email concerns just that - I wondered if you could possibly watch it and email back any criticism, I would like to one day go into film production and your opinion of this project would really be something that would inspire me to go down this path.

Thanks for your time. Don't worry if you can't respond to this, I understand that this is a busy company alone without all the emails you get from people like me.

Here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FuBRhuzdp8

Thanks once again,
George.

I sent this on the 30th of November and have so far not heard back from them. Either they passed my message which was labeled, probably, as 'spam', alongside the other thousand emails they get every day. They could have read it but not replied due to the fact that they were too busy - unlikely, but still a possibility. I'm not too bothered about this though. I've already recieved feedback and criticism from people who have seen the ident, and so my work isn't left completely unassessed. It would have been nice to hear back from the heads of the genre though, but this is unfortunately left entirely out of my hands.
